Time-lapse Manchester now have three time-lapse cameras at the Stopford Park project for Cityheart. These three cameras are overlooking different areas of the large Royal George Village site on Greek Street in Stockport. They are capturing the works as the project progresses.
Using multiple time-lapse cameras can be a fantastic way to create interest to your final time-lapse film, and for large sites such as the Stopford Park Royal George Village site, it can allow you to capture all of the action, wherever it is happening.

Cityheart acquired the 442-home Royal George Village site in December 2023 as part of it’s continuing commitment to the transformation of Stockport town centre. The redevelopment scheme is being supported by Stockport Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC) and is part of the 130-acre regeneration district Town Centre West.
The project will create 442 apartments both for sale and rent, private gardens for residents and collaborative co-working space for local businesses. Public realm and civic space will also be created.
Cityheart have commenced demolition and construction works and the full scheme is scheduled for completion in 2026. In September 2025, they asked us to put together a short progress film using the time-lapse footage collected to date. Even though the project has not yet been completed, they have already started to sell the apartments, and this film helped to promote the project on social media. We hope you enjoy watching the progress so far!
As well as time-lapse, we are also providing filming services on the Stopford Park project, and as part of that, we were asked to create a film showing the current state of one of the buildings. This local landmark has stood the test of time, and whilst well over 100 years old its original features are in wonderful condition ready – as you can see in the film below!
Built in 1909, the building’s original use was as a municipal secondary school for girls. A rich history followed, with the space space serving as a military hospital throughout WW1 and later as Stockport Art College. Cityheart now have planning permission to bring this magnificent building back to life, and create an area where bold ideas meet hard work, and where local businesses can come to grow.
Stopford Park is a really wonderful project to be involved in, and we are loving watching the transformation of the site – we can’t wait to see it finished!
